Proxy Types & Usage

I am writing this topic due to lot of ppl asked me about proxy usage & how this service helps us. Then Proxy Server is a service through which you can surf those internet sites, who has firewalls to block your IPs to their servers i.e. proxy bypass the said firewall & even by hiding your actual IP address, so you can hide your actual identity while surfing. Some ways to surf through proxy:

1. Visit the site proxy.org, which has a list of latest proxy server and they provide you a BAR like address bar of your browser with some options like

Encode URL
Encode Page
Allow Cookies
Remove Scripts
Remove Objects

Which you can enable or disable according to your requirement.

2. For this surf type you need FireFox ( Click here to download ) & then Search at google for FREE PROXY LIST – Click Here For Results & follow the below mentioned steps.

Choose Latest IP from search (Click Here For Results) I found this page and chosen IP 75.101.178.208 port 80 belongs to US

Now go to Tools => Options => Advanced => Network => Setting in FireFox and change radio button to Manual Proxy Configration. Put the above said IP number and port in HTTP PROXY and then tick mark Use This Proxy Server For All Protocols Click OK and start surfing. First check IP address using FireFox by visiting WhatIsMyIP.Com.

There are mostly foolowing types of proxies are being used and available

Transparent :
Sending the information of your IP and most of the softwares are able to detect usage of Proxy by visitor.

Anonymous :
Not sending any information of your IP but still some of the softwares are able to detect usage of Proxy by visitor.

Highly Anonymous (Elite)
No information is being passed and no software is able to identify the usage of Proxy
